Yes, you read that right.
I'm working on getting all sorts of new things added, mostly gear, edges (Chapter Professional Edges like Sternguard or Ravenwing Veterans), and finishing up the vehicles. I've been at work for it but it may be some time before it gets uploaded (still no PC). A lot of it will be used with the Sci-fi Companion so awesome stuff is on the way.
Mostly RPG stuff, but also whatever else strikes my fancy. Expect rants, stories, rules, and outrageous things. It might be funny, too. Warning on language in some posts.

Surprise Hiatus
Granted this one was a "oh, I'm gonna die now" from my PC, so I'm still working up to get another one again as my phone is too dumb to make good posts. I'm still here and I'm still gaming. I'll be back with more converted characters from my 40k play-by-post, and a game story from Halloween where I killed 2.1 million people in a space fleet after my commando was going to get framed by out CO.
I've been reading a lot recently as well. Tom Clancy, Mark Owen, Marcus Luttrell, HALO, 40k novels, etc etc etc.

Creating a Plot Point Campaign Series I Would Love To Play
So if you have been keeping up with the blog, especially early on, you know I enjoy military style games. Unfortunately I will likely never get to play one of these types of games, which is fine. I however will be creating a campaign for Savage Worlds that would be my most favorite game ever. Ever. I don't have a plot line drawn out yet, but I know the concept.
I want to create an experience that will make the group of players manage life (as much as a civilian would know) as a Tier One operator. Not every mission would be "balls to the wall" gun fights, but many would be stealth oriented, tense chases in trucks in Afghanistan's desert or the streets of an Iraqi city. Narrate through training and planning. Include brief spaces of home life. Invest the players into their characters so when I throw them into situations where they are fighting for their lives they want their player to survive. I've seen my group get very involved and attached to their imaginary characters derived from just a sheet of paper, arbitrary numbers, and their imaginations.
I want the campaign to be realistic, weight will be important, as will planning what they need and keeping track of it. Book keeping will be important, but not so much it will slow things down. Combat will be gritty and very dangerous, the amateurs they fight will be unpredictable; if they fight well trained gunmen, they will use tactics. Fanatics will be different as well. If they mess up and get in a gunfight with a band of Taliban way off in the mountains, they had better be ready for a fight. I'll be using the fate chip rules from Deadlands too.
I'm going for maximum intensity, they kind of game that makes the player scared at each close call, sad if they're friend gets hurt or dies. I've played these games, they are the best ones around. The emotional pull is why I play roleplaying games anyway.

Converting Warhammer 40,000 6th Edition to Savage Worlds
So most people who visited here did so because of my Savage Space Marines which has been taken down due to a lack of a safe place to put it up again. So for now here are the conversion charts I used to make it. You will require copies of both systems' rules for this.

Of Mice And No Men (part 7)
New Characters:
Lewis Karlanderson, a chef mage. Arrogant but effective, essentially a fat creole guinea pig fathered by a Middleton cheese tycoon and working in White range. This cook would fit in better in Tree, but is an excellent cook anywhere.
The Squirrel is a wiry con man, but is fairly decent archer. He is a descendant of Karo from the first session.

BRUTAL DOOM Campaign Ideas (Updated: 9/6/2014)
These are just an exercise on brainstorming how I'd start a campaign in the Doom setting, these will mostly be short game ideas and story premises for such a game. The characters would all be members of the UAAF (Union Aerospace Armed Forces), and some will go against or make new canon (what little there is, I mean).

Classic FPS-Style Ultraviolence: BRUTAL DOOM (Enemies and GM Section) (WIP, Updated 9/13/2014)
So I had the DOOM gear section a few days ago, here's the enemies section. It's a work in progress so it will get updated as I get inspiration.
Of Mice and No Men (part 6)
For the first time the players see Hwang's Tower, a tower stretching as far into the sky as they can see, its smooth, shiny walls gleaming in the sun. They meet the Necromouser who has spent the last eight or so months here and hasn't seen anyone else, he's heard them but never laid eyes. Partially because he has been reading what he has been on just the first floor. The floor is a massive library as far as the eye can see, with a staircase to the second floor in what seems to be the central structure. They all go up to the second floor and come across a form of automatons mimicking rodents but are made of a strange material with a glowing container of liquid on their backs. They do not speak, and the party finds out that they maintain the shelves and can find books if they ask, but never stay around very long to keep getting sent for more and more books by a single person. They come to find out that the first two floors contain simple knowledge, revealing some but not much useful information.

Classic FPS-Style Ultraviolence: BRUTAL DOOM (Gear Section)
So here it is. DOOM styled rules, weapons, armor, and baddies. You may want to allow setting rules to let novice characters take combat edges they qualify for (ignoring rank requirements only) and to let them spend bennies on damage rolls! You'll need the Science Fiction Companion for some of this. I've also fleshed out some of the things a military would have (hand grenades and knives for example). Enemies to come soon.

Remington 1740 and KS-23: "Get off my porch."
So the thing with shotguns we think of today is that they are one of a few things, things that make them cool. Pump-action for awesome pump stunts and ammunition compatibility like the Remington 870 or Mossberg M590, automatic shotguns like the Benelli M3 and M1014 models or HK CAWS, then you have fully-automatic shotguns like the AA-12 or South Korean USAS-12. You have double barrels because, two shots at once? Dead. Or the varied other kinds out there! Here I give you a little known design from here in the USA: the Remington 1740. A double-barreled pump-action. They existed, and you have the Soviet KS-23 "Special Carbine" which is a 23mm (approximately 6-gauge) shotgun used almost like a mortar or grenade launcher. The Remington? Just use your imagination.

Of Mice And No Men (part 5)
On their way to Salt Lick City, they witness the same type, Micean, of soldiers in villages talking with people in their homes or on the streets in official but peaceful ways. Tiki finds a butler and asks what they are asking about, to which the butler explains the soldiers are inquiring into "any possible resistance from the nobles and populace if they take over." The butler remarks he doesn't think there will be much in the area. Closer to Salt Lick, and a few weeks later, they are stopped by a different group of soldiers from the Foo Empire, scouts it seems. They simply ask if the party has encountered any soldiers in the area, the players refer to the Miceans a back in the villages some time ago, the dozen Foo scouts go on their way and disappear with the party goes to turn around.
Tier One units as "races" for military settings
First of all, this is for a military setting game, and a high-leveled ones at that, but making Legendary starting characters takes a while so as much as I love detailed military settings I think starting a game a Seasoned for high leveled (i.e. Tier One, or veteran for the highest levels of Tier One units like AFOs) is much easier to make and gives the player a sense of progression for the character. Just remember these aren't balanced like normal, nor will these units be equally balanced as some are newer or better trained than others, even at this level. This stacks with the free edge a human gets (I did say high-level).

Turok 2 Seeds of Evil
So I was going through old games and came across Turok 2, my first shooter back on the N64. It always stuck with me.

Character Story: Mee-Hye Hwang (part 2)
We broke canon even harder. in the later half of the campaign. While Mee-Hye was at home Lily and Ranwe went searching for something, Lily had been sent on a quest by Meridia, and were exploring a dungeon. They cleared it and finally found a diamond, allowing it to be fired like a cannon and recalled (more mark and recall! :/ ). Through a massive failure they shot the very very large diamond to the Dragontail mountains, into Mee-Hye's home as they were eating dinner. Mee-Hye's younger sister, an apprentice enchanter, was able to remove the recall spell and kept the diamond. To the groaning of Lily's player. This netted the Hwang family another half million Septims in worth. At the end of the dungeon was a well containing Hermaeus Mora, and he gave them a task to get the Ogma Infinium, they did it, unwillingly as they went on a unconscious month long murder spree. Lily gave the book to "Meridia" and burned it, "cleansing" Lily too.

Of Mice And No Men (Part 4)
Gabrielle and Tiki move up to the disputed Whitewood Forest between White Range and Gnoll Stone Kingdoms, passing a few soldiers on the way. They're trip is safer than the Boss had told them it would be, and they come to a small keep, called Hjaalmir. The watchman is less enthusiastic about letting strangers into the small fortified hamlet of about 300 mice, that is until they mention that they are here to sell yellow cheddar, which is rare here due to white cheddar's easier crafting. They meet the patriach, the son of a recently slain Thane, named Frostgar, an adolescent by mouse standards. He is marked by pure white fur, a rarity in the world, and certainly being more mature than his age would show. He buys their entire shipment of cheese at three times the value they would get in Warren (a scant 50 bits per "pound" there) and sell their 25 pounds and about 10 from their own share. They come unto the knowledge that of course the two Kingdoms wage a war over the Forrest, Gnoll Stone due to location, White Range due to climate) that the Whitewoods themselves have not taken place in battle at all and are rallying themselves to unite for independence against the two weakened armies. Frostgar seeks to free the world from the corrupt tyrants.

Starship Troopers (v0.5)
So I had rewatched the old '90s movie when I remembered I had the d20 setting for Starship Troopers, official book too, I think. That with some forum conversations about it in a thread about my 40k conversion. Honestly I saw maybe one episode of the TV show ("Roughnecks") and haven't found the book(s) to read, but the d20 books gave me everything I needed really.
MagPul Stuff
So after 3 weeks I got my latest accessories for the airsoft gun. A MagPul MOE (for MagPul Original Equipment) rifle stock and MOE+ Pistol grip (both in black) plus a custom CNC buffer stop (KWA LM4C Part #8) and enhanced recoil "engine" from another company. I have only installed the MOE stock over the original LE stock, but wow. I'm no MagPul fanboy, in fact I think they're a little overhyped. But I can see why they're popular. And I got a sticker. High roller over here!

Of Mice and No Men (part 3)
Since the second session the players wished to restart their characters, having a slightly better feel for the world. The new characters are brothers, of the Maroo family. We have:
- The "Necromouser" a mouse who lived in the Foo province after the family moved to the Gnoll Stone Kingdom. The oldest of the brothers and an outsider, he is a necromancer (necromancy works differently here) and has a staff that allows him to speak to (i.e. read as "lets the GM yell at him with") all of his ancestor's ghosts, that only he can see and hear (or anyone holding the staff).
- Tiki Maroo, an assassin of sorts. The only fighter in the family as of now, and has a tendency to gloat.
- Gabrielle Maroo, adopted hedgehog. An aspiring "politician" who swears that the world is a god and genuine place and that there's no need for violence. He tends to speak for his brothers.

Of Mice and No Men (Part 2)
This session we added Bronson a huge rat and Karo wasn't able to make it. Bronson is a Brawny rat and ex-bandit from a stone forest in Necross. He wields a large two-handed aztec style club-sword. His flaw was a massive lack of charisma.
Pulling A SittingDuck: The Characters of Archer (Work In Progress)
I'm just going to lift this idea this once, maybe more times I'm not sure, from another blog. That idea would be to profile popular fictional characters into Savage Worlds. Here's his blog, it's good stuff:
And these are not really refined, nor intended to be balanced, and are for before Archer VICE, which may be a different entry entirely. Expect characters like Archer and Lana to be more skilled than Cyril or Cheryl, as least in combat. They are all considered Wild Cards.

Knives: Some Deadlier than Others
So here I'll try to post up and discuss some of what these things would be well suited for. What am I talking about? Special knives: the WASP Injection Knife, the old Soviet Spring Knife and lesser known NSR-2 ballistic knife), and the Chinese Type-85 Bayonet Pistol.
Sci-Fi Companion
I just bought (and read through in one sitting) Pinnacle Entertainment's Science Fiction Companion, and I was very pleased! I can use it for just about all of my projects, plus a couple more I came up with on the spot.

Updating Savage Space Marines
So, Games Workshop is a beast in the roleplaying/wargame world, and they protect their IP very seriously. It hasn't happened yet, but I can't imagine it would take long for them to get wind of it (thus my name is not on the .pdf :) ) So in a short while the current version will be taken down, and it will be reworked.
How will it be reworked? Easy, I like the feel of 40k and their units, but some of their fluff is... a little boring and constrictive. Its a wargame at its heart remember and their lore is very set in stone. So I think I will rename things and alter them just enough to make them different from GW's IP. It could be converted back, and I would hope it would not be that difficult. I just need to figure out what to name things...
Saddest thing, I worked hard on the Chapters and I'll have to set those back maybe as individual Regiment types or something. I'll probably relegate the Eldar to "elves," Orks to "orcs" and "goblins" and what not, the Tyranids to "xenoforms" or something in latin, daemons equal demons (even though a daemon isn't the same thing as a demon), so the Tau, Necrons and any others are a little more difficult.

Savage XCOM Plans
I've been playing XCOM: Enemy Within with the Long War mod, and as I have I have been wanting to be able to run Savage XCOM again. I ran it a few times with mixed results and used a conversion based on the older XCOM games. It was a very good conversion but not exactly what I needed for the style of my game.
So I'm remaking another one. I will be basing it off the Long War mod, since that's what I was looking for in terms of player customization and alien behavior. It also is a lot more "realistic" than what the vanilla game and, somewhat, the DLC gave us. The gear and abilities will be more varied as well, players being able to carry two miscellaneous items, by default, plus a primary and secondary weapon, or something to that effect. I want to keep the flavor of XCOM with the speed of Savage Worlds. And I think I can do that, as good as the other conversion is! So I'll be working on that as well.
Man, I've got a lot of projects going on...

XCOM Drinking Game
So my group of friends tried this once and it was some of the most fun I've ever had. But we used wine and beer, so do not use hard liquor, you might die. Seriously. But 3 or more friends are what you'll need for it to be the most fun. Also, be of legal drinking age, if you die or get in trouble I warned you. Also, this is not a competitive or cooperative game.

Updating "Savage Modern Weapons"
Soon the downloads will go down for a few days while I finish up the formatting and finalized product. I hope to add some things I couldn't in the one I have out now. And hopefully I can expand the miscellaneous gear section some. I'll be adding tables and making it more organized.

Power Builds: Savage Worlds Fist-Wizard
So a couple times I've played balanced and not-so-balanced Savage World's characters. I played a guy in Deadlands who killed nearly 50 people with seven bullets. I played a character that started with all d4 and d6s. In our current run of TES IV: Oblivion, my character has +20 Charisma and she has a real chance to become the Empress or mantle Clavicus Vile, because I decapitated him while trying to steel (I ended up hacking his face off in the process so "steel" is appropriate) the mask off of his face. But while that's super-OP because the GM allowed me to do it (and half of the Charisma with the rules, legitimately), I'm talking OP because the rules let me do it without putting too much in anything. So ...remember that time I played Sub-Zero wannabe?

Airsoft Gun Upgrades
So I have the airsoft gun, and I'm beginning to gather accessories. I'm not new to airsoft, I played in high school but has to take a break when I went to college and am just now getting back into it. Admittedly I have dropped a considerable amount of cash on this stuff, as it is my motivation to stay fit and make a new circle of friends, and I rationalize it that way. It to me is worth it, all hobbies take money, keeps me from sitting down on the internet all day. That's worth something!
So, back to the point, I have this gun. Now what do I want to do with it? Well its a CQB gun, so I'll use it for that. Do I have a concept for it? Of course!

World Primer: Of Mice and No Men
This world is all over the place, genre-wise, as the various provinces have taken their traditional themes and cultures from distinct places. There is magic and science, and the two are readily distinguishable from one another. Some Provinces may be breaching cybernetics while others may still wield wooden clubs and stone knives. Most places, even in areas where science is dominant, see the vast majority of "people" left with low technology, with the fancier this being rare and powerful.
I'll cover races and provinces here in non-rules terms.
I'll cover races and provinces here in non-rules terms.
Of Mice and No Men (Part 1)
I have been meaning to run this for a long time, and I got the chance to start it off the other day. For a long time it has been referred to as the "mouse game" but for anyone reading this that doesn't know me you might not know what's going on. So imagine that all humans everywhere disappear for no reason, and mice and a few other rodents suddenly become sentient and conscious beings, walking on two legs and creating civilizations of their own. That is the premise of this setting. Most "people" don't know what humans where and can't read human writings, and few have seen human books at all. They are simply called the "Great Ones the Came Before" and where thought to have been a bit taller, not really as tall as humans really are. No one really knows how long humans where gone or what happened, there are just relics and evidence that they existed, their palaces and grandiose dwellings, and technology. I'll have to post another post as a primer so some of the things and places mentioned will make more sense.

XM109: Not Your Average AMR!
Most people would think that the M107A1 SASR (Special Applications Scoped Rifle), more commonly known as the Barrett M82, is the end all of large caliber rifles. However, they would be wrong in that it may be the best known, but is not the latest or most powerful. I present this piece of hardware:

Game Aid: AC-130
If you have played a shooter in the last several years in the modern setting, you've probably heard of the American AC-130 Gunship, and the power it can bring to bear. Here I wanted to put into Savage World's terms as an asset the players can call in on missions, in a military type setting. It will allow the players to have a tense moment and then proactively deal with threats that are overwhelming or they aren't equipped to handle at the time.

Airsoft/MilSim
A fact about me is that I have played "combat sports" since I was 10 isn't something I talk about very often. I started playing paintball in the 6th grade and airsoft in 10th. I had to lay off in college and for a couple years after that, but I kept immersed in it. Today I received my order for my first gas blowback rifle, I won't go over the nitty-gritty technical details of weapon (they count as firearms legally in some places I think, and you should be responsible with them even if they aren't in your area) types here. But I got a Mk18 CQBR styled one that is also marketed to law enforcement agencies for low cost training (as 5.56x45mm ammunition is expensive). This isn't my first airsoft gun, I owned an MP5 Navy, AKS, and still own an electric M16, and gas 1911A1. So why do I spend my hard earned money on this stuff?

Character Story: Mee-Hye Hwang Part 1
Yes, I am playing a female character. Not only that, but we're all playing female characters in this campaign. I've been playing RPGs for 10 years now, and its a first, it was worth a try and I think I have built a character that is different from all the rest I have ever played. But back to the character in our campaign. It's a run through of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and things almost immediately went differently than the game.

Blog Update: May-June 2014
So it has been a good three months since I started this, I've gotten attention beyond what I thought I would have ever been exposed to. It hasn't been much but it has been much, truth be told, but its something. I went to the Pinnacle Entertainment's forums (Savage Worlds) and put up a could .pdf I made (the first being my gear guide and the other being the Space Marines). However, more recently things have slowed down, post frequency-wise, with March and April having 10 a piece and May having only 4. Largely it is due to a combination of work taking up so much more time these days and working on updating projects like Savage Space Marines and turning the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series into a plot point campaign (which is turning out to be a hefty one). So I haven't forgotten about this if I have any unknowing followers, I'm just trying to wrangle life down and beat it into submission again. I have a few shorter posts coming up, a Character Story is probably next.

Character: Will Bird
MSgt Will Bird is a Wildcard GM NPC for a Tier One game I was planning to run, so I figured I would post up his stat block. He's ranked Legendary and is a CAG/Delta Force Operator. His gear was handled with my Savage Modern Gear work. I also used the Weird Wars series for some of his edges.

Call of Duty Perks to Savage Worlds!
I've often wondered how the Perks in the Call of Duty series would work as edges or talents of various games, some bring something new, others are already in, and still others have little to no bearing. So here are some.

UNSC Army and Marine Corps Formations
The HALO games focus mainly on the Marines in the UNSC Defense Force, and the games often depicts formations that are broken up due to combat and and battlefield losses, especially with the large amount of losses in canon. Its unsurprising that you see so few full strength units in the games, but I want to put together the Army and Marine Corps proper battle formations (as reflected by modern US Army and USMC formations with some wiggle room taken by myself).

Savaged Space Marines
I embarked on this back in 2013, wanting to capture a more complete feeling of the Warhammer 40k universe from the Table Top game. I want to say that Games Workshop and Pinnacle Entertainment products are helpful when you play this and I don't own any of this IP, its just a humble conversion I made for free to anyone who wanted it. I hope you enjoy!
Special Note: I feel it is worth restating (and am assured it is wise, and perhaps even going through and renaming things) that this is the Intellectual Property of Games Workshop Ltd. and this work contains works based on their material but makes no dispute to their ownership of said trademarks. I also made great effort to avoid putting any compromising material relating to any Warhammer 40,000 wargame rules, transferring only the story and nomenclature of the universe. As such, Games Workshop products will be helpful in the application of this conversion.

Running Space Marines through the HALO Games (part 1)
So it is something I have wanted to do for a while. I started chronologically in the canon, and went with Halo: Reach first. I figured running it in the flavor of Legendary difficulty would best challenge 3-4 full blown Space Marines. I figured I need some tweaking.

Killzone Gear (v1.00)
So I've always held that Killzone video game series is my favorite shooter, at least the early ones that is. I like that for the most part it is at least a feasible weapon set, functionally at least. I'll be covering at least the basics of both the Helghast and ISA infantry equipment sets. This is, of course, before Shadowfall takes place. Those weapons will be stated up later on.
Brothers Magni and Vincian
These next two are the last of the "veterans" (Alastor, Gavril, Isaiah, and Vario being the others, currently) of the campaign. Magni is a tactical marine hailing from the Space Wolves and Vincian is a Librarian of the Blood Angels.

Less Extensive Modern Firearms Set
From a discussion on the Savage Worlds Forums about whether it is better to have a short generic list as opposed to an extensive list. I prefer an extensive list, maybe not completely exhaustive. Well maybe a little exhaustive. Here is something a bit in the middle, not so much specific models but archetypes in different categories of weapons.

Red Faction 2 Gear (v1.00)
Red Faction 2 was my favorite shooter growing up, I really liked the setting and logged probably 400+ hours playing it, the game is set in the 2080s I believe. Thus far here are the weapons of RF2. Armor and vehicles should come later on!

The Time I Played Sub-Zero in the Weird West
And I mean the ice ninja. I convinced another player to even be Reptile, though his interpretation was unique but not too bad. The other guy wouldn't be Scorpion. I was sad there but it was fine. As it turns out, a high strength plus a trained martial artist is down right deadly in this system.

Brothers Alastor and Isaiah
These next two Space marines are both from the lineage of the Dark Angels. Brother Alastor of the Dark Angels and Brother Isaiah of the Consecrators.

Dead Space RIGs, Upgrading, Equipment, and Pricing (v1.00)
Resource Integration Gear (RIGs) are lightweight wearable systems that display the wearer's basic biometrics (via standard sub-dermal implants) to those around them, offer communication and navigation suites, and offer a modular set up and integration of other systems, such as kinesis and stasis modules. They also provide holographic projectors and feature a chest mounted display screen for more discrete data. RIGs come in a variety of civilian, professional, and government/military models, each optimizing the wearer's task at hand and may provide protection and storage.
Brothers Vario and Gavril
So, I have been running a play-by-post in FFG's Deathwatch system and setting since January 2011, and I have determined to convert their characters (with permission, of course) into Savage Worlds with a conversion I am making, which is taking quite a while to complete. In any case, here are the two longest serving Astartes in the Kill-team: Vario of the Ultramarines and Gavril of the Flesh Tearers.

Fightnin' A God
So a friend of mine is designing a system to go with a setting, the "Monster Hunter Game" as he's called it. Yesterday we ran it to test out some of its stuff. Except we adapted 3 other settings to play in it since there were no characters ready. We had a 4e D&D rune priest, another system's character, and a Space Marine from Deathwatch. The visuals were changed a bit so it wasn't a half-troll, orkoid, and an Adeptus Astartes running around a near-future Miami killing the beasts mankind wasn't meant to know about.

The Splendor of Gaming
So this one will appeal to those who do and do not game. To every game or session you either have luck with you or it just plain has it out for you. I have had a character kill 42 enemies in a single session. Now that isn't really impressive. The impressive part is that all it took was seven shots from a rifle over the course of the session. Another game I had an ally crit fail on a shooting roll after rolling a critical on his casting and made my insides the landscaping for some big bad's abode.
Savage Modern Gear
So a while ago I began to want more options for my Savage Worlds gun and military gear like helmets and armor and other such things. So I came up with add-ons for weapons, like new rules for scopes, and strobe flashlights, bipods and types of ammunition. This even ranges for rules for needing a spotter to make long range shooting different and some rules for autofire and scopes and moving. There are rules for load-bearing gear and plate carriers, new-generation helmets, specific popular firearms and ordinance. The rules aren't exactly like the standard so you'll have to replace some stats if you choose to integrate this into a game.
Change Log:
Version 1.00a (alpha):
First version. Not 100% complete, but very little is left unstated. Could use additional formatting and organization. Though it is printer friendly. Has rules for plenty of modern firearms.

Time Travelling Soldiers (Session 1)
I originally posted this over on the Savage Worlds community forum (their forum's index) back in late February, but since I'll also be posting those sessions here. They may be sporadic, as I have to think these out pretty heavily. I posted about this before but I glanced over a lot of the details, so here is the first session write up I posted.

Dead Space Weapon Building, Upgrading, and Pricing (v1.00)
So I got to thinking and was wondering if using a Bench would require any skill rolls to assemble a weapon or not. I decided that I don't think it would, as the weapon and or parts is essentially inserted into the machine. However I think that a Repair or Knowledge (Engineering) would be in order if a Bench was not used.

Time Traveling Modern Soldiers!?
That title right? Doesn't tell you a thing does it? Good thing I'm going tot tell you all about it. The basic idea came from a few games I ran in college a few years ago, then I was talking with my current group about it: what if you sent modern Tier One special forces back in time to fight in World War Two with their modern armor, equipment, and weapons.

Character Story: John McGreevy
Agent John McGreevy is a hard bitten ex-OSS Agent. He's also a bit... extreme. He can be a bit of a jerk. Originally he was a Call of Cthulhu character but has been made into Savage Worlds as well. I immediately made the GM give us $300.00 starting money in 1928. I ran with it.
Character Stories: Bivlovismir (Part 1)
In our group's The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (and hopefully The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion) retelling, Bivlovismir (or "Evil Biff") as some have called him was an old character I ran through Oblivion and Skyrim with, and talking with the GM he approved the idea. So as far as characters with a grandiose concept, Bivlovismir is the biggest one of my characters thus far.

Dead Space 3-style Weapon Crafting (v1.00)
Remember that these are tentative rules, and may be updated or altered. It has been a while so I apologize if some of these are a bit off, going off of memory and the wiki. If I need to update the rules I will post about it if the passed time is sufficient enough, and have a change log below that. Hope you enjoy and they bring you some good games!
Why Play a Table Top RPG?
I was asked this a few times since I have played them, not a common question, at least vocally asked. More than not unfortunately you see that look in a persons eyes, and they kinda think you're crazy. Not always, but let's face it due to past events, perceived state of the primary participants, and the social stigma that those two bring about, it is not the mainstream "cool" thing to do. I used to think this, and while I don't really now, I don't run around with a sign saying its a hobby of mine. Mostly its because its just none of most people's business.
This is what it seems like to some people I think. |

Finally Broke Down And Did This
So this blog thing has been on my mind for a while now. Especially as a way to share the things I am working on for... well anything I think could merit sharing. So who is the author? Some dude. As I assume this will probably never break out and see the light of day, but will likely be seen by somebody I guess my days as a, largely, secret RPG player is over. So.. ta-da! So something for the unfortunate soul who might stumble up on this, something about me.
As a gamer I guess I could throw around any "credentials" I have, but I don't think it really matters, so I won't. But I've found the activity of assuming another persona from time to time to be cathartic and a great social experience since I started playing some time ago, in high school no less. It has taught some valuable social skills, among others. After some time I learned to GM and I have been told I'm not too shabby. The road was bumpy however.
