SOG tactical hatchet (Str+d6; 5/10/20; AP1, melee or thrown)This was a set up for the mission that was set up to protect a couple VIPs in the Republic of South Korea when China and its allies invade a few places over there (set in 2018). The PCs were set to be a group of SEALs and he volunteered to come along with them. He was able to be a team leader if none of the PCs set themselves up for it, but was only on protection detail for one of the VIPs while another group of NPCs were there mainly for the other VIP. They were meant to pull and tug on the PCs and add some emotional intrigue and drama to the campaign. He was also set up to be a reliable shooter if the PCs needed something above the other NPCs around them.
His background had him joining the US Army right out of high school (2006) and go into the Rangers before becoming a member of CAG (aka 1st SFOD-D and Delta Force) in 2009, serving combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan until the US finally pulled out in large scale from both. On most missions CAG are reported to carry 2 primary weapons and a pistol, for this mission its just a CQB length HK416 and a Glock 10mm pistol (which is a pretty powerful round). If he carried another set up it'd usually be a carbine length HK416 and either an MP7A1 or Shotgun or a CQB length HK416 (the one above) and .308 or .338 bolt-action rifle. This is all depending on what he was doing in the specific mission, and what that mission was.
(Stats for the other optional weapons he'd typically carry will come eventually)
